you're not thinking far enough into the future

If you listen to a lot of interviews / clips of hyper successful individuals you’ll notice how they often talk about the “long game”.

Elon Musk didn’t start SpaceX with the intention of getting to Mars in a year.

He knew that playing the long game to get humanity interplanetary is the only way it’ll be achieved.

It’s the same with what ever stage of business you’re in right now.

Most people start a business, run a bit of outreach, and quit after 3 months having not signed a client…

What if I was to tell you that I’ve personally been following up with a prospect since January this year through a thread of 60+ emails.

What if I was to tell you that the same prospect replied last week with steps to move the deal forward.

The reality is, business isn’t a quick or even logical process.

Anything with humans involved quickly becomes emotional.

So the only way you can make up for that is time in the game.

The longer you spend focussed on one mission, day in and day out over months, years and decades the higher your chance for success.

I like to make this abundantly clear to prospects on sales calls.

Outbound isn’t a quick fix or a quick results producer…

Yes it can work fast, and the systems we’ve developed make that chance very high.

But the mindset should be that it could take up to 3-6 months to see a return.

That way there are no hidden surprises on the way.

I talked about this last week.

The risk between capital and chance of success.

If it makes sense, do it.

If not, don’t
