This Weird 'Nerdy' Habit Saved My Life
One of the best habits I adopted this year is reading fiction every day…
This might be contrary to what your ‘guru’ has to say…
But after reading yet another self-help book on how to maximise my soycadian rhythm I wanted to throw everything out the window.
I needed something that fed my imagination and my soul.
Something that allowed me to escape the daily grind of business and life and let my overactive mind relax.
It took me 30 days to really look forward to reading.
After day 30 something really weird started to happen….
I began noticing changes in myself…
Words I'd never used before became commonplace in my vocabulary.
My ability to create new concepts vastly improved.
My imagination soared.
And this all had a big benefit on my business.
It’s so easy to get sucked into the corporate energy of business.
Removing emotion and imagination from your life.
But the real movers and shakers tap into this energy and focus it on their business.
These people are able to take commodities and create a queue of raving fans.
Like selling Facebook ads to ecom brands…
Email marketing to saas companies
and short-form content to agency owners
These high-level imaginative operators can sit and tap into their imagination to create a world around their service and position it separately from the market.
They can create unique mechanisms with ease.
I’ve personally noticed I’m able to empathise with my prospect more and create new angles with speed.
This has led to more meetings booked and overall more money in my bank…
So if you’re sitting there struggling to think about new angles, new unique mechanisms and how to separate yourself from the herd…
Stop scrolling Tik Tok & IG reels…
And pick up a book.
It can be anything that interests you
It’ll probably be hard to even read a single page at first
But day in and day out you’ll start to love this new habit as you see the impact it has on not only YOU but your business as well…
