underrated rule of outbound
You see a lot of people talking about advanced clay tables, AI personalisation, enrichment…
And these are all great (and super important).
But honestly… not 100% necessary.
The underrated rule that most people KNOW but ignore is that offer is king.
Offer drives every aspect of your business from outbound, marketing, sales, assets, service delivery, customer service…
If you don’t have a winning offer in place, you can run all the magic list building, deliverability tricks you want…
You still won’t get any results.
The reason (imo) for this is that list building, deliverability etc follow strict rules that anyone can follow.
Building offers doesn’t…
They require a learnt knowledge of your market from speaking with 100’s of prospects to really get a pulse on what is going on.
They also aren’t 100% logical.
That said, you can break down offers into components which makes their formulation easier.
These are ranked in order:
Specific problem
Unique Mechanism
Pricing/terms
Risk Reversal
Knowing the components lets you focus on each individually and build out a full offer.
You can also chop and change components to see what combinations work best.
If you're serious about winning with outbound and generating abundant leads you have to spend time and effort focussing on your offer.
Without it… you are COOKED.
My business partner Louis put together a 15 page guide on scientific offer development.
