Follow Ups
A question I get asked frequently on Twitter is this:
“Yo Tom, how many times should I follow up with a prospect?”
So I thought (being the anti-gatekeeper that I am) I would answer here to the G’s on my list.
You can split follow up’s into 2 categories:
Pre-reply follow-ups (prospect hasn’t replied)
Post-reply follow-ups (prospect has replied)
For no.1 no more than 5 follow-ups. If you continuously send unanswered emails to someone’s inbox - you will end up in spam.
My current strategy is 4 initial emails in close succession and the 5th email scheduled 30 days after to hit prospects at multiple stages of the buying cycle.
For no.2 you can honestly keep following up until you get a ‘yes’ or a ‘fuck off’. I’ve had cases where myself and my team have followed up well over 20 times after an initial reply before getting someone booked on a call.
This is where great SOPs, reply templates and systems come in incredibly useful at scale for maximising replies and results (which will all be included in my upcoming program…)
Keep killing it,
Tom
P.S. A few weeks ago I released a video going through the entire system that I use for myself and my clients + how it could entirely replace your sales team…
