The best clients don't think
The best clients to work with (and the ones that are the most successful), are the ones who don’t think.
When I say ‘don’t think’ I don’t mean that they are stupid and I’m taking advantage of them.
I’m saying that they are not shackled to chronic overthinking and understand ‘gut feeling’, making quick decisions and deploying capital.
They hear what you have to offer and make a decision straight away about whether they will work with you.
No going to ‘think about’, asking their partner or umming and ahhing.
They weigh up the risk to potential upside and make a choice.
There is a sweet spot where this client exists.
It’s around $50-$500k / m before too many people get involved and clog up the decision making process.
Demographically it’s usually a single dude in his 30’s or 40’s who lives in the USA and is often easy to get on a call BUT not that friendly.
When you work with them, they are incredibly easy, hands off and let you do you’re work in peace (because they are so busy).
You could hypothetically make a whole ICP out of targeting that guy.
Maybe you should!
The point I’m trying to make is that over-thinking is slowing down your process.
You decisions should be made on the basis of the following:
→ Do I have the capital to risk on this?
→ Do I think there is over 50% chance of this working?
If yes to both, you should do it.
